Lauren is a classically-trained musician who specializes in conducting and double bass. Beginning her musical journey at age eight, she has performed in a wide variety of orchestras throughout her many years in the classical sphere. She is currently finishing her education at Arizona State University in Music (BA) and History (BA), graduating in May 2025. She will be pursuing her musicianship further by attending graduate school at ASU. At present, Lauren is the principal double bassist in the ASU Philharmonia, a double bassist in the ASU Symphony, and the Director of Symphony of the People’s Community Orchestra. She participates in orchestral conducting workshops and competitions across the country, studying classical symphonic works and opera. Her passion for music is bolstered by her favorite composers: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Antonín Dvorák, and Joe Hisaishi.
